Toasted Nut Butter

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups raw cashews, almons, pistachios, peanuts or walnuts
  • 5,5 tsp unrefined fine sea salt
  • Filtered water
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey

Method:

  1. Place the nuts in a bowl and toss in 4,5 teaspoons of the salt to combine. Cover with filtered water and soak for 6 hours.
  2. Drain the nuts, pat dry with paper towels, and spread out on a small baking sheet to dry for 30 minutes. Spread a single layer of the nuts in a skillet over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Let cool. Blend in a blender, add the rest of the salt, honey and oil.
